On March 23, 2024, the long-awaited and prestigious 10th edition of the Mortar and Pesto World Championship will be held at the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa: the event that brings Liguria and our excellence to the world thanks to hundreds of people who compete for the title of champion of everyone’s most loved sauce.
The event also includes many side events: one of the most anticipated, taking place at the opening of the day, will be the Children’s Championship, a special non-competitive event organized for the very young. A celebration where everyone can have fun together, surrounded by the intoxicating aroma of Genoese Basil DOP and the sweetness of Riviera Ligure DOP Olive Oil , proudly carrying the pesto flag as a symbol of Liguria around the world!

Post the letter in the mailbox of the Consortium of Genoese Basil DOP, at Salita Santa Caterina 50R in Genoa, in the spaces made available by the Metropolitan City of Genoa, or send it by email to info@basilicogenovese.it
The Consortium of Genoese Basil DOP will read all the letters and select the future Little World Champions of Mortar and Pesto!
The World Pesto Championship is organized by the Genoa Chamber of Commerce and the Palatifini Cultural Association .
The Children’s Championship is an initiative of the World Mortar Pesto Championship carried out in collaboration with the Consortia for the protection of Genoese Basil DOP and Riviera Ligure DOP Oil and the Regional Wine Shop of Liguria , and is hosted by the actors of the Teatro del Piccione, within the Taste Liguria program: an exceptional context to promote the value of Ligurian DOP products throughout the world.
