“Spaghettone di Gragnano PGI, Pecorino Romano PDO, black pepper, yellow datterino tomatoes, pesto with Genoese basil PDO and Grana Padano PDO ”?
There was an embarrassment of riches to choose from among these and ten other recipes with which many starred chefs honoured Genoese Basil DOP from 6 to 8 September 2024 at “ Gragnano Città della Pasta ”, one of the largest gastronomic events in Southern Italy dedicated to the taste and centuries-old culture of the absolute symbol of Italian tradition.
The event took place, obviously, in Gragnano (Na) with fun and insights, cooking shows, talks and tastings, celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the Consortium for the Protection of Gragnano PGI Pasta and the uniqueness of Gragnano PGI Pasta: an event that above all represented the great value of Made in Italy gastronomic excellence with the most important Italian PDO and PGI products protagonists of exceptional menus between tradition and innovative proposals, in the world of what is to be considered the aggregative food par excellence, by its nature democratic and inclusive.
Since we are talking about pasta, Liguria has a lot to say, with its prized Riviera Ligure DOP Oil and its incomparable Basilico Genovese DOP, the event gave birth to this precious collaboration between the respective protection Consortia and the Consortium of Gragnano Pasta IGP also with the synergy of Origin Italy.
